
Biography
Jessy Lindsay (she/her) is a queer, bilingual pop songstress. Her use of catchy, jazz-infused melodies and honest lyrics will rope you into her world. Once there, she will, in both English and French, whole-heartedly offer you her perspective on womanhood, self-confidence and reclamation of joy within patriarchal society.
Over the past decade, she has passionately developed her craft through opportunities such as Jamais Trop Tôt at the Festival international de la chanson de Granby, Rond Point with the APCM and the Camp en chanson de Petite-Vallée.
Freshly graduated from the University of Ottawa, Jessy has already been putting her bachelor’s degree in classical voice and contemporary composition to use. She has recently been sound designing for live theatre as well as composing classical contemporary music for voice, instrument ensembles and choirs.
This powerhouse emerging artist has already established herself as a force to be reckoned within the Ottawa music industry, boasting recent performances at the Festival franco-ontarien, the National Arts Center and Capital Pride Main Stage.
As a dedicated advocate for local and emerging musical artists of all genres, Jessy often contributes to the industry through arts admin work. In 2023 and 2024, for example, she spent the summers programming over 40 live shows through OMIC’s Songs from the Shed project for the Sparks Street BIA.
Her recent EP “Plus pareil" (2025), is an electro-pop exploration of the beauty of self-growth with Bienvenue Records. “Plus pareil", her debut EP: “J’explose” (2022) as well as the rest of her singles are available on all streaming platforms.
Jessy Lindsay's groovy music and refreshing stage presence will surely inspire all audiences to dance freely to the beat of their own hearts.
